week 44: the return

I received a phone call from my stake president on Monday of this week.

I have been reassigned to the Bakersfield, California mission!

I leave on May 26th...so in about 3 weeks!

I am so ready to be a missionary again, even if it isn't in Mexico.

We're still waiting on details and travel plans.

I am hopeful I'll still be Spanish seeking, but whatever the Lord has planned for me,

I'm ready to get to work!

Dear Missionary,

Congratulations on your call to serve as a missionary in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and on your assignment to serve in the California Bakersfield Mission.  We are excited to have you join us in this wonderful work.  You have been called by a prophet of God to serve in one of the most important regions in the world! This region is exceedingly rich in its contribution to the world economy and to its security. The people here are abounding in culture and many are prepared to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your service will bless the lives of many.
